twilight

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer

So I’m sure all of you have either read or at least heard of Twilight. This honestly used to be one of my all-time favorite series and I have read it multiple times. I decided that with all of my travel this month I would listen to the audiobook because of how much I used to love Edward and this story.

The story is really clever and I still love it, but I honestly cannot stand Bella. She is so whiny and needy and clingy and she is one of those stupid girl martyrs who thinks she can solve everything by just offering herself up to the evil vampire. No. Just no. I honestly was getting so irritated by her throughout the whole book. She fell in love with Edward in a split second after he admits he wants to eat her, she cannot live without him being near her after like a week, and when he admits he has been breaking into her house and watching her sleep (which is uber creepy by the way) , she thinks it’s so amazing and flattering. Stop the nonsense now. I seriously could not take it.

I do love Edward still though and the romance aspect was still as good as it ever was for me. The way Edward would just question her and how intrigued he was by her still makes me swoon even though I had to read it from Bella’s POV. I also love the stressful ending of this book where she was being hunted, it was really entertaining still even though I knew exactly what was going to happen.

Overall, I don’t think I can listen to New Moon for a while, I need a break from Bella…

You can buy Twilight here, or get it from your library like I did!
